The Sixth Hohenstoffeln Cup, featuring the Contest Eurotour and World Cup standings

For the sixth time, F3B fans from all over Europe gathered at the glider airfield in Binningen (Germany). The F3B class involves thermal, cross-country, and speed flying with model gliders. Before each flight task, the models are launched using electric winches.

State-of-the-art, all-CFRP models offering maximum strength with minimal weight are required. The motto is: tinker, develop, test, train, and optimize for the perfect flight.

Over the two days of competition, pilots from seven different countries showcased model gliding at the highest level. Thanks to a perfect final

speed flight in fast air, Denis Duchesne (BEL) surged to the top and secured the victory. He was followed by Andreas Herrig (DE) in second place and Martin Weberschock (DE) in third.

Andreas Böhlen once again won the Swiss F3B Championship, ahead of Roland Hofmann and his teammate Niklaus Huggler.

I hope that reaching the maximum number of 55 pilots (the venue cannot accommodate any more) will motivate everyone involved to host the competition again next season.
