The MFS Youth Award

The MFS Switzerland Foundation awards a prize to projects in the field of aviation—particularly model aircraft—carried out by one or more young people.
The primary goal of the MFS “TalentWings” Award is to promote young people’s technical and scientific skills
in conjunction with their hands-on abilities, as well as to foster a positive attitude toward aerospace.
The project generally consists of a theoretical (written) component and a practical project. Together,
these must demonstrate a close connection to aviation—particularly model aircraft flying. The link between theory and practice should be clearly articulated.
Candidates up to 20 years of age for the MFS “TalentWings” Award should download the “Project Submission” application form from the MFS website and send it to the Modell Flugsport Foundation. The Foundation Board decides whether to accept or reject a project. Projects accepted by the Foundation Board are forwarded to the jury for further review.
The MFS prize money may total up to 5,000 Swiss francs per year and may also be divided among several young people. The Foundation Board appoints a panel of experts to make the final decision on the award. The Foundation Board may decide not to award the MFS Prize if no suitable projects are submitted.
For particularly valuable projects, the MFS Foundation Board may collaborate with other organizations in the Swiss aerospace sector. The Foundation retains exclusive media rights. Projects that have already been submitted to other organizations or published prior to submission to the MFS Foundation cannot be considered.
