Above the clouds, freedom knew no bounds...

At age 40, he built his first model airplane—a Graupner Hi-Fly. Countless others followed, built from his own hand-drawn blueprints, always made of wood. His favorite models—the Tiger Moth, Pitts-SIS, Morane, and Thunderbolt—no longer fly. The roaring engines have fallen silent. All his fellow aviators are left behind, but we are certain he will continue to fly in all our hearts and become an unforgettable pilot.

Louis Lamezan passed away on April 29, 2013, at his home in Basel.
