Nearly 20 participants attended the 2025 Jeti Workshop in Gossau, SG. The two Jeti programming specialists from Hacker, Uwe Neesen and Dennis Frick, along with several participants who actively contributed valuable tips, made the event a successful training day.

Optimizing the remote control for fixed-wing pilots, helicopter pilots, and others is extremely valuable because an optimally configured aircraft is easier and simpler to fly. For example, if flight modes are configured on an aircraft, precise flying becomes much easier.

Here are two important tips

The “Flight Modes” program allows you to preset the aircraft so that the control surfaces, throttle curves, etc., are optimized for each specific flight maneuver. However, it is important that the plane be mechanically adjusted as optimally as possible. It is not advisable to make all necessary adjustments electronically.

Attach one carbon rod (the rod must be straight, approx. 3 mm) to each elevator using tape, and position the ends of the rods as close together as possible (in a V-shape).

When the ailerons are moved, any deviation in the aileron deflections due to the alignment of the rod ends is immediately apparent. This can be corrected using the “Servo Travel Settings” function.

The Hacker website offers various guides on programming options. FMT-Verlag Deutschland has also published a printed manual containing nearly 20 specific programming guides.

It was a full day packed with countless helpful tips that make flying easier, safer, and more interesting. The participants were satisfied and headed home after a long day filled with tips and new ideas. Now it’s time to put this new knowledge into practice in everyday flying.

I’m wondering whether more Jeti pilots would participate in a workshop in 2026; if so, I would organize the workshop again.
