"20 Years of the Hottwil-Klingnau Model Aircraft Club" Anniversary Contest

Announcement: On Sunday, October 25, 1981, Club President Max Schaad welcomed 66 competitors to the Ebenländ for the “20 Years of MG-HW” anniversary competition. The weather was by no means pleasant: fog, wind, and rain were all present; what was missing, however, was the sun. But model flying is an all-weather sport, and so the inclement weather did not drive any competitors away from the competition site. The competition proceeded as scheduled with five scoring flights. The F1E class held particular significance: the results count toward selection for the national team.

Before the awards ceremony, spectators and competitors watched three model helicopters perform aerobatics. They were followed by a six-helicopter formation. As the grand finale, Roland Hersperger skillfully demonstrated his electric glider.
