Model Airplane Flying, Despite Everything

With great patience and empathy, several volunteers from MG Dübendorf and other clubs—at the initiative of the NOS region—held a model-building workshop at the Dübendorf Airfield with people with disabilities from the PTA-Pfadi Zürich as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Aero Club of Zurich.

Entirely New Experiences

We didn’t know if or how the experiment would turn out, so we prepared everything together with a leader from the Scout troop. She, in turn, briefed her own leaders about the day. Our instructors were recruited internally from MG Dübendorf and through a call for volunteers in the NOS regional newsletter. They all performed their duties admirably and deserve our heartfelt thanks. The feedback was positive in every respect.

What is the PTA?

PTA Scouts Despite Everything: Despite intellectual, physical, or multiple disabilities, the PTA units practice Scouting just as the other Scout groups do. This is based on the principles of the Swiss Scout Movement.
