Model Aircraft Flying, a Passion

When I was a teenager, my father laid the foundation for my hobby of model aircraft flying by taking us kids to the Altmatt model airfield.

After a fulfilling period in sports, politics, and culture, I rediscovered model aviation as a hobby, so to speak. Inspired by numerous videos of national and international model aviation events, I occasionally tried my hand at writing reports about such events. I also began writing articles about active model builders who construct special model airplanes from scratch themselves.

Gradually, this led to a very good relationship with Editor-in-Chief Emil. Through him, I learned how the magazine MFS is structured and everything that goes into getting an issue ready for print. At some point, the topic of a “deputy editor-in-chief” and a future successor for Emil came up.

Since I’m quite well-connected in the community through my work as a videographer and photographer, it’s relatively easy for me to reach out to people in the model aviation scene. I consider it a privilege to be able to follow in Emil’s big footsteps, even though there’s still a long way to go.

I’m looking forward to this demanding challenge and hope to live up to the standards and expectations of the model aviation community.
