NOS Regional Championship

With sixteen registered pilots across all three categories—Sportflyers Basics Juniors (ages 18 and under), Sportflyers Basics Seniors, and pilots competing in the Advanced program (F3A-A-20)—it was already clear in the run-up to the event that it would be a great competition. On the day of the competition, everyone actually showed up. Great! But who’s surprised? It looked like it was going to be a perfect day for aerobatics! A bit of morning fog with no wind at first, followed by sunshine in the afternoon with a light breeze. That added a bit of excitement, too. All of this took place in very pleasant temperatures. Everyone present—pilots and spectators alike—enjoyed the excellent conditions.

The pilots flew their hearts out. There were two rounds in the morning and one in the afternoon. Unfortunately, due to the large number of pilots, there wasn’t enough time for more. After the results were tallied and the awards ceremony took place, everyone headed home satisfied. It was a great event, and we’re already looking forward to next year.

Many thanks to all the volunteers from the Uster Model Flying Club for their dedication, to the NOS officials for their expert support, and to all the pilots for their participation.
