Taking on a DIY Project

6

Sandro Veronelli has been awarded the MFS Youth Prize “Talent-Wings 2019.”

After several years as a successful junior RC aerobatic pilot in the F3A and F3P classes, Sandro couldn’t resist taking the tools out of his father’s hands to build his own F3P model. In addition to the extremely intricate construction of the aircraft itself, assembling and adjusting the variable-pitch propeller are among the most challenging tasks. The MFS Foundation Board had the opportunity to admire the finished model at the Dübendorf Aviation Museum. However, strong winds limited the demonstration to an indoor setting, which unfortunately did not allow the backward flight to be shown to its full advantage. The Foundation Board unanimously decided to award the prize to Sandro. Heartfelt congratulations.

Good job
