Region 3 Championships – RCM Competition in Buochs

The Region 3 RCM Championship was held under ideal conditions. This category is growing in popularity in our region, as evidenced by the higher number of participants and, on average, better flight performance.

While a few pilots did lose points due to engine misfires, fortunately only one unlucky pilot suffered a total loss in a crash. Accurately timing the landing approach remains a challenge, and only a few competitors managed flawless, smooth landings without bouncing.

For the third consecutive time, Hanspeter Senn of MG Wettingen took first place with his self-designed model, the “Souci.” The “Souci” has also proven itself exceptionally well among several pilots who still have limited flying experience with motorized models.

Before the results were announced, Regional Chairman Hans Schmid rightly highlighted the excellent organization by the MG Nidwalden and the efficient work of the scoring committee. Rolf Girsberger
