Region 3 Championships: RCS Slope Competition on the Ächerli Pass

The two groups, ABB and Lucerne, organized this year’s RCS slope competition on the Ächerli Pass. Forty-two pilots registered for this cold and wet April 30; 37 were ultimately present early in the morning. The competitors experienced a

fair and well-organized competition. Four rounds were flown; unfortunately, the slope wind died down slightly only during the last round. The flights were so well-separated that no tiebreaker was necessary. All in all, a successful

event, and the pilots were thoroughly satisfied. A heartfelt thank you to the two organizing groups, ABB and Lucerne, along with their numerous volunteers.
