WHEN THE WORLD GOES CRAZY

Dear Reader,

Right now, the world’s “powers that be” are acting recklessly, causing a great deal of suffering and immense chaos, with consequences that we’re feeling even here in Switzerland. In times like these, a hobby like model aircraft flying can provide a welcome distraction and help us focus on positive thoughts.

In our cover story, we’d like to introduce you to Young SilentWings, a project that has really taken off. Thanks to a great deal of passion, the personal dedication of numerous volunteers, and the necessary financial resources, young people from the NOS region receive generous support. It’s fair to acknowledge that this initiative is a success and has already paved the way for many young model aviation enthusiasts to get involved in the sport.

Energy supply is an issue that’s on our minds every day, especially now that the world is in such turmoil. The Liechtenstein Model Aircraft Club has put in an incredible amount of work to install a photovoltaic system, taking a huge step toward a future with secure energy supplies. Here, too, it’s people who, with great dedication and conviction, pursue a goal until they achieve it.

Let anyone try to say that volunteer work isn't valuable!

The editorial team hopes you’ll find all the topics in this issue both entertaining and a welcome distraction.
