Unfortunately, interactions between the national association, its regional divisions, and the local clubs are all too often limited to formal meetings and administrative tasks. Therefore, AéRo (Romandy Model Aviation) has decided to organize an annual flight day. The goal is to foster relationships between the presidents of Romandy clubs and our governing bodies in an informal setting.

On May 5, the third Western Switzerland Presidents’ Day was held at the GAM Dizy airfield. About fifteen presidents accepted the invitation. We welcome the presence of FSAM President Adrian Eggenberger, accompanied by Christophe Petitpierre, our contact for model aircraft at the AéCS central secretariat. Getting to know our contacts in Lucerne personally greatly facilitates

and mutual understanding.

It is therefore very beneficial to be able to share different experiences—both good and bad—so as not to repeat mistakes and to make the right

. A strong and active region makes it possible to overcome challenges.

Flights took place one after another in steady winds, and informal discussions continued throughout the day. The outcome was very positive! Our thanks go to the organizers at GAM Dizy for hosting this event, for their warm welcome, and for the excellent lunch: a delicious Bresse fondue!
