8th Social Gathering for Electric Jets and Electric Airplanes, Huttwil

This was the 8th time that MG Huttwil had organized this electric model aircraft meet. Excellent weather on both days, 72 pilots with 159 models, and many spectators made the event a resounding success. Flying continued nonstop on Saturday and Sunday. Every type of electric aircraft imaginable was on display in Huttwil. From simple electric gliders, experimental models, warbirds, airliners, and large aerobatic models to lightning-fast electric jets—everything was there and was skillfully showcased. It was particularly gratifying that several pilots from French-speaking Switzerland also participated in our

gathering. So there’s no “Röstigraben” among model aviators! At the nearby Grüebli, the MG’s seasoned kitchen crew ran a food stand, which was very well received. Before the customary night flying took place on Saturday evening, we enjoyed the traditional fondue under the starry sky. Encouraged by the many positive reactions, the MG Huttwil plans to hold this event again next year.
