GAL Jubilee – Melano 2019

At first, the pilots showed little enthusiasm for flying, but as the afternoon wore on, the competitive spirit became evident. Friday evening culminated in a party on Monte Generoso, bringing the day to a joyful close.

On Saturday, it was hard to believe that such a beautifully sunny day lay ahead for the competitors. Now, the battle for points was on.

At noon, the kitchen pulled out all the stops and served a delicious pasta dish. The afternoon flew by. Some spectators visited the event and showed keen interest in the model park and the flight demonstrations.

To keep up the tradition, it was decided to spend the evening, as is customary, with a barbecue party. →

Sunday morning brought rain once again, but we were able to fly around 11:00 a.m. At noon, the kitchen spoiled us once again with excellent gnocchi. The awards ceremony took place in the late afternoon.

This marks the end of an anniversary celebration that proves once again that there are still pilots coming from all over Europe for an event like this and to share a moment of great excitement together.

A big thank you to the organizers, GAL, who once again showed how to run an event like this so that it’s fun whether you’re participating or just watching. Thank you very much.
